Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa enables you to feel transported to horse racing country, with nods to the area through fun artwork, to the elegant equine creatures crossing the road to the stables on site as we arrived, it was lovely to feel like a lady of the manor at the Lodge. The Hotel and Spa are in beautiful grounds near Newmarket, it took us around an hour and half to get there from London. Just far enough to feel like a trip away from normality.
You will find The Spa is high-end and spotlessly clean with all the amenities you would want. The soothing smells of essential oils permeate throughout and the staff our warm, welcoming and professional. The 60-minute full body massage was absolutely excellent with a gorgeous room to relax in afterwards.
We had a light lunch with Champagne to start and then slipped into our robes for a day of complete relaxation. The double heighted windows flood the spa pool area with natural light to boost that Vitamin D and it is delightful to be bathed in sunlight while relaxing. There are steam rooms, saunas, outdoor hot tubs and relaxation rooms throughout.
