Treatment of the month revealed… including a special offer!

Ahead of National Fitness Day taking place on 20th September, it was only right that our Tensions Release Massage landed the spot for September’s Treatment of the Month. Occurring annually across the country, National Fitness Day aims to highlight the role that physical activity plays across the UK and to raise awareness of living a healthier lifestyle. And that’s what I’m going to share with you today…

Whether you’ve done a quick workout in at home or a hardcore workout in the gym, our Tensions Release Massage is the perfect choice for those looking to alleviate muscle strain. Not only that, but our physical fitness trickles into everyday life, making it a go-to option for those who sit at a desk for long periods of time, or simply wish to release the tightness across their back and shoulders.

A firm pressured massage using both forearms and stretching techniques, this treatment is guaranteed to soothe aches and pains, and release muscle traction. For anyone who needs to relax those muscles a little deeper, hot stones can be added upon request.

To help you make the most of the annual celebration, book the 60-minute Tension Release Massage during the month of September, and we will upgrade you to a 90-minute massage (30 minutes extra) for a total of just £112.00 (usually £137.00 for 90 minutes).

If you can’t make it in for a massage next month, then try one of my other top tips for recovery instead:
• Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate: Rehydration is KEY. Especially if you have broken a sweat during your workout, replenishing your fluid levels can help to improve muscle flexibility, build strength, and even prevent aches and pains. Alongside the classic water, you could even opt for a coconut water or low-sugar sports drink. As long as you’re avoiding sugary, caffeinated or alcoholic drinks, as these will cause further dehydration.
• Don’t forget the cool down: If you can, always finish your workout with a cool down so that your heart rate can gradually return to its normal rate. For example, wrapping up your workout with a 5-minute savasana can help you to relieve stress, soothe muscle soreness and prevent injury.
• Stretching: Including a stretching routine after your workout while your muscles are still warm will be a game-changer. This will help to not only elongate muscles, relieve tension, and enhance flexibility, but also improve mobility and promote good posture.

Until next time,
